History

THE BUDOWNICTWO ELEKTROENERGETYCZNE „SELPOL” S.A. (POWER ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION JOINT-STOCK COMPANY „SELPOL”) dates back to 1960 - as the business successor of::

• the Samodzielny Oddział Wykonawstwa Inwestycyjnego /SOWI/ (Self-contained Investment Contracting Division /SOWI/) attached to the Zakład Energetyczny Łódź Miasto i Województwo (Lodz City and Region Power Engineering Plant) established in 1960,
• the Zakład Wykonawstwa Sieci Elektrycznych /ZWSE/ (Power Grid Construction Plant of Lodz /ZWSE/), established in 1976.

In March of 1992 - on the foundation of the ZWSE and following its privatisation - established was the Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Handlowe /PPH/ „SELPOL” S.A. (Production and Trade Joint-stock Company „SELPOL” S.A.) exclusively with Polish private capital.
In 2001, the Management Board of the PPH „SELPOL” S.A. changed the firm’s strategy and profile from multi-industrial to power engineering construction and installation company, and renamed it the Budownictwo Elektroenergetyczne SELPOL S.A.

Payroll

The Company’s average annual payroll includes approx. 165 employees.
Our staff are highly-qualified specialists that continue developing their expertise and know-how through regular training.
Our employees hold the relevant qualification certificates.
Additionally, the executive staff hold international project management certificates issued by the Stowarzyszenie Project Management Polska /SPMP/ (Project Management Association Poland).
As many as 40 staff members boast higher education background.
